How It Works

Claude Code Notifier installs a lightweight hook into your Claude Code configuration. When Claude emits an event-session start, permission request, idle prompt - the hook sends it to the menu bar app via a local socket. From there, you get a native macOS notification, and optionally, webhooks fire and mobile push notifications are sent.

Setup takes under a minute:

1. Download and install Claude Code Notifier
2. Grant notification permissions
3. Click "Install Hook" in the menu bar
4. That's it. You're protected.
